Biohazard Revelations

Well seeing as no one had any concern for me I went back to the shop and found an amp and a few cables. I also found a few spare picks off the ground. I brought them back to our new "safehouse" and found a few plug ins. As soon as I returned I set them up in an office witha few plug ins. I played the first minute of
"Rock and Roll ain't Noise Pollution" when Sara looked at me.

"Don't you have anything better to do, like help us"
"Or I can remember a few songs I used to be able to play, and try playin them again"

Now she was pissed.

"Is there any particular reason why your still alive?"
"Hey! How about you two help me unload the rest of the stuff?"
These two were going to get us all killed.
"Sara... help me unload the rest of the stuff."
she said nothing, and walked towards the car... one hand on her gun.
"Can't we all just get along?"
"Not likely."
There wasn't much left to unpack... the rest of ammo and some other supplies that we grabbed from the police station before we left.
We had nothing else to do, so me and Sara decided to check out the Shipping containers at the far end of the warehouse.
I found I an expensive looking stereo system, a few Lazy-Boy chairs and a fridge.
"What are we going to do with a fridge?"
"Dunno... thought it was a good idea at the time."
Then the strangest thing happened... we started laughing... for no reason.
She gave me this weird look, the one that means your crazy... and I just broke out laughing... she couldn't hold it off for long... she started shortly after.

We were on the last 3 containers. I opened mine first... it wasn't what I expected.
"Sara?"
"Yeah?"
"Can you come over here... theres something I need you to confirm for me."
"Yeah, wha..... whoa... thats alot of ammo."
"Thats what I thought."
The container was filled from back to front with enough ammo for a small army... way too much for 3 people.
"I wonder whats in the other 2."
"Only one way to find out."
She opened the next one.
"Well... now we know what all the ammo was for."
This was had guns in it... lots of guns.
"Things just got interesting."

I didn't notice before... but the last 3 containers had the Umbrella logo on them.

"Lets see whats behind door number 3."
This one was a little tougher to open... but once we got it... theres was a truck in it.
"I thought it couldn't get any better."
"I guess it did."
The truck itself was 2010 Ford Flex... all black with an Umbrella logo for the licence plate.
What it had on it was the amazing part... it was completly reinforced from front to back, the windows were caged and it had a big steel push bar on the front.

"Hey.... hurry up with whatever you're doing.. I heard some weird noises." I yelled.

The keys for the Flex were in a small box which was attached to the inside of the container.
"Shotgun!"
I grabbed the keys and we got in.
I slowly pulled out of the container and drove over towards the office... parking next to the Mustang.
"Where did you find that?"
"In one of the containers."
"Theres a shitload of guns and ammo over there as well."

Concerning the vehicles:
The Mustang Police Interceptor looks similar to the Ford Mustang GTR concept on the outside only. The GTR concept was built to celebrate the Mustang's 40th Anniversary and is essentially a race car... the police car looks like the GTR but still has a somewhat normal interior. The only modifications being the addition of the police computer, CB Radio and a hidden roll cage. It also has had the interior panels removed and replaced with carbon fibre.
Go on google images and search Mustang GTR concept for more insight.

Mustang GTR

This is the Ford Flex... unfortunatly there is nothing like the one in the RP in existence.

The Flex in the picture is one you could buy.

Its armoured with a push bar on the front.
All black with red detailing and the Umbrella logo instead of a lisence plate.Ford Flex

I was about to make another comment on the car, when I heard the noises again.

"There's definantly something down there, in the basement. Anyone want to go with me to check it out?" I said.

I wasn't too eager to go alone. There could be any number of things down there, and after seeing that huge gray zombie, I wasn't eager to see what sort of creature could be skulking around in the basement without backup.

The warehouse was big enough to allow us the pleasure of driving the vehicles inside, so we took turns driving the Flex.

I went first... only doing a few laps, I quickly parked it and threw the keys to Jason.

"It drives pretty good, but its hard to spin the back... I think I'll stick with the Mustang, its more my style anyway."

Jason wasted no time... running to get in.

"Sara... could help bring some stuff over from the containers?"
"Sure"

We made 4 trips total.
Bringing over the expensive stereo system, a bunch of clothes, a bunch of guns and ammo... and pretty much anything else we thought would be useful.

"I found a door... I think it goes into the basement?"
I grabbed my rifle.
"I'll come with you."

It was a pretty big door... we opened it together and I went in first.
"First room clear."
We both proceeded, and with our flashlights I was able to find the light switch.
The lights came on slowly... but when they did, we were both surprised at what we found.
"I guess that solves the food shortage."
"Almost seems too good to be true."
"Yeah... strange isn't it?"

"Ssss...."

"What was that?"

"What?"

"That hissing sound..."

I turned around, looking at every corner of the room.

I froze. "Jake... Stand completely still."

There was a female zombie in the corner. But she was different.

She was one of the living ones, but she'd been mutated further. Her hands were equipped with long, hooked claws.

She was currently just standing in the corner, hissing at us angrily.

Sara came down shortly after.
"Quiet"
"What the fuck is that thing?"
"A Reaper..."

I wasn't sure how I knew what it was... but I knew... somehow.

Then she ran at us.
"FUCK!!"
He ran upstairs.
Sara was about to run after him.
"Forget him, just watch out for the claws!"

We all opened fire on the Reaper. It managed to shrug alot of the shots... until Sara shot its head off with her shotgun.

"That wasn't so bad."
"Nice"

We checked the rest of the room... it was bigger than we thought.
There were a bunch Cryo-Stasis pods... but they were empty.
I turned on one of the computer terminals... it was still logged in.
What I found was what no one expected.
I found information on what was kept in those pods... the biggest one was the worst of all.
"This is not good."

I ran up the stairs, only to run into some sory of zombie creature that walked on its arms. it tried to leap at me and i fired the shotgun, splattering blood all over me.

"I can never just fucking win!"

I was angry, then I noticed there were more crawling in through an open window...

I ran up the stairs.
Lickers... the last thing we need right now.
"Fuck... everybody get up here now."
Sara was up first.
"What the fuck is that thing?!?"
"Lickers... time your shots and watch out for the tongues."

The strereo was still on... Down from the sky by Trivium came on.

The Lickers were spreading out... On landed behind Sara.
"Sara get down!"
She ducked and I fired as he was launching his tounge.
The bullets from my rifle shredded his tongue and he jumped back in pain.
Still crouched, Sara turned around and rolled towards it... shooting the Licker in the head... sending blood and brain matter flying.

"Nice."
"Thanks."
"Hate to break up your little happy moment but we got more of them kill ya know."
Sara just laughed and stood up, putting some shells in her shotgun.

I spotted one near my car.
"Step away from the car and no one gets there head blown off!"
It wasn't after me though... it was looking at Jason... who was busy shooting another one.
It grabbed him with its tongue.
"AAHHHH!!!! WHAT THE FUCK!!!!! GET IT OFF OF ME!!!"
Sara laughed and ran towards the licker... it saw her but it was too late.
She kicked it in the head.
"You don't want to lick that... you don't know where its been."
She shot it in the head... taking it clean off.

"Like I said before, I can never fucking win!"

I was pissed off now. One of them shot out their tongue at me but I wrapped it around my wrist, I was pulling with all my strength. I took out my pistol, aimed it at it's head.

"Don't return to sender!" I said as I nailed a bullet clean between where the eyes should've been.

There were too many of them... it wasn't right.
"Short controlled bursts.... *shoots one in the head* Aim for the head!"

OOC: I'm gonna fast forward a bit... to the last licker.

I heard one land behind me... it must have been hiding, I quickly turned around.
His tounge shot out at me... I caught it with my right hand as it shot at me... and pulled.
The tounge came out at the base and the Licker screamed in agony.
I pulled out one of my Eagles and landed two shots square in the middle of his brain.

"We need to leave...now!"
No one disagreed with this... we all started running around... loading up what we could into the Flex.

Everyone was running around, gathering supplies. I ran straight for my room and got my guitar and a bottle of root beer. I put them in the very back, folding the seats down.

"Guess we could put whatever we need back here"

"No shit Sherlock" Sara said.

"Be nice or we're gonna die together if we dont get outta here"

"Shutting up now"

I hopped in the front passenger seat.

"Shotgun bitch!"

Everyone finished loading up and they all got in.

"Jason... you can have shotgun... shes with me anyway... I need a gunner."
Sara threw the keys to me.
"You'll probably need those... just a thought."
"Good idea... We aren't coming back so make sure you have everything you need."

I got into to the mustang and turned on the radio... If you want blood (you got it) by AC/DC was on... just starting.
"Hey Jason... turn on the radio and flip it to 97.7."
He did... I could hear the music coming from the Flex.
We peeled out... just as the tank came smashing through the far wall.
"That big guy followed us!"

We drove right through the door, the Tank was still following. I rolled down the window and began firing my M16 Assault Rifle at it. it didn't seem to have any effect. I got back in and got some ammo.

"Anyone have a plan B?"

"Look in the back... I left a present for you."

I grabbed the case.

"Happy Birthday to me"

I put together the rocket launcher and loaded it. I rolled down the window, and leaned outside. I aimed the Rocket at the Tank.

"Merry Christmas Bitch!!!"

I fired it, the rocket hit the Tank head on. There was a flash of light followed by a loud boom. I saw the pieces of flesh go flying. One less beast to worry about...

I looked over at Sara... she was leaning forward... motionless.
"Sara?"
She didn't respond.
"Sara!"
She was unconcious.
"Damn it! Guys we got a problem... follow me."
"What now? Is it another one of those giant guys?"
I heard the clicking of the Rocket Launcher as he reloaded it.
"Theres something wrong with Sara."
"So?"
"St.Micheals Hospital isn't far from here... follow me and provide cover."

I floored it... the Mustang had enough torque that the back wheels could lay down some rubber... in 4th gear.

"Take a right up here."

I made the corner... there was a roadblock ahead.
"Shit."
Looking over to my right I saw a flat bed tow truck... the back was down.
It was a long jump... a high angled ramp would destroy the car.
"Find a way around."
He knew what I was thinking.
"Dude your fucking crazy!"
I didn't answer... just shifted into 6th and set myself up for the jump.

The Mustang hit the ramp and flew over the construction equipment below.
The car hit the ground... bottoming out and sending sparks out the back.
I looked in the rearview and saw the Flex smashing through the wooden barricades.

"Or go through it."
"That was fun."

We were on Front Street now.
"Right."
I drifted the corner... coming within inches of a taxi at the side of the road.
"Left up here... down into the parking garage."
I drifted the car into the entrance.
"Sandson... make sure that door is shut behind us."
I heard the squeel of the Flex's tires as he stopped to get out and shut the main door.
"Meet me at the bottom near the elevator."

I got down to the bottom, the Flex about a minute later.
I was already out and running around to the passenger side and pulled Sara out.

When I pulled her out I could feel the wetness on her left side when my hand went under her jacket.

Sandson already had the back of the Flex open and I set her in and took her jacket off.

"She must have gotten hit by one of the lickers... good thing were immune... but shes lost alot of blood."

Jason was still in the Flex listening to the radio.
"Jason I'm gonna need your help on this one."
I turned back to Sandson.
"What do we need."
He ripped a soaked part of her shirt.
"Take this with you... your going to have to find a blood scanner so we can figure out what her blood type is. Once you do that you'll have to find where they store the blood and get... quite a bit from the looks of it."

I looked around for a second and spotted a body on the ground.
"Sandson... stay with her... get the shirt off that body and use it to apply pressure."
I grabbed my rifle and threw a shotgun to Jason.
"If were not back in ten minutes... well... you'll think of something."

Jason started walking towards the elevator.
"Stairs."

St. Micheals Hospital

I got to the stairs and opened the door... the lights were out.
Jason unclipped the flashlight he had on his belt and tossed it to me.
"Keep your gun up... this place is probably crawling with them."
I pointed towards a zombie under the stairs before shooting it in the head.

We made our way up the stairs to the 4th floor.
"Lets start here."
"You really like this chick don't you?"
I didn't say anything as I opened the door and slowly went out into the hall.
"This looks like one of the emergency wards. We probably need to find some sort of lab for the blood tester."

There were a few zombies but other than that, the floor was pretty empty... so far.

We cleared the entire fourth floor with no sign of the blood tester.
"Downstairs?" It made sense now that I think about it... the labs would probably be in the lower levels... maybe even in a basement.
"Good idea."
We got the stairs... there was a zombie face first against it.
Jason walked up to it and punched it... his fist crashing through the skull.
He chuckled.
"Nice one." I punched his arm.

We finally got to the basement, I kicked open the door. there was a zombie but i shot it before it could turn around.

"Alright lets look for this blood tester thing"

Though I didn't show it, I liked Sara. if she died who would i argue with? The cop? She reminded me of someone but I couldn't guess what it was. I checked for a few more minutes.

"Found one!"

"Lets get to work then"

I pulled the blood soaked rag of Sara's shirt out of my back pocket and took the tester from Jason.

Placing the cloth against the scanner end of the tester I got an instant result... it flashed AB Negative.

"Well thats not exactly a common type."
"What?"
"AB Negative... do me a favour... watch my back while I hack that computer over there."

I ran over to the computer that was sitting on a desk, moved the mouse and the desktop came up.

"Damn... its still logged in."
"And thats a bad thing?"
"Kinda... I was hoping to do some hacking... still might have to."
"What are you looking for exactly?"
"The exact location of the blood room."

It took about a minute but I was able to bypass the useless security measures and got the buildings layout.

"Well... atleast its close... follow me."

We both ran down the hall and mad the first right... the air was alot cooler here.
"Split up... remember, AB Negative. The packets should be labelled."

We split up... it didn't take long though.
I found it in the first room I checked.
"Jason."
"Yeah... where are you?"
"First room... toss me the bag."

As he entered the room he tossed the bag... I caught it without looking.
"Nice catch."

I begun carfully placing the blood packets into the bag... 17 in total... it was all they had.

"Think that should be enough... now we have to find an I.V. unit."
"Upstairs?"
"Check down here first... there might be some extras down here."

And sure enough... there was one across the hall from the door.
I walked over to it and pulled the unit off... placing it in the front compartment of the bag.

"Lets get going."

We made it to the stairs just in time... there was a horde chasing us.

"SHIT!"
"Just keep moving!"

They were getting even closer... I saw some crimsons at the lead... ahead of the rest.

"Fuck! Take the bag and run! I'll cover you!"
He hesitated for a second.

"Don't worry about me! Take the bag and run."
No doubt he could see the fear in my eyes.

He grabbed the bag and ran up the stairs... we were three floors underground.

I really hope he makes it back... I wish my fate looked as promising.

I remembered that I had a smaller bag with me.

I shut the door and reached into the bag... C4?
Things just got interesting... they had remote charge detonators with them.

I planted two charges on the door plus one on the first set of stairs, and ran up to the garage.

I made it the garage and shut the door behind me... placing a charge on the door.

"Sandson... you think you can handle the Mustang?"
"Of course I can... I am the police officer after all."
"Good, because I'll need you to lead us out of the city... towards Oakville if you can."

I turned to Jason.
"I need you to drive the Flex... and be careful, I'll be in the back with Sara."

I saw that they already had her bandaged and the IV was in... replacing her lost blood.

"Tell me when were out on the street."
He saw the detonator in my hand.

Before Sandson got into the Mustang I grabbed both my rifle and Sara's shotgun.

I got into the back of the Flex, Jason shut the door and ran around to get into the drivers seat... I heard the Mustang start up, followed shortly by the quiet rumble of the Flex's custom exhaust.

drove right out the parking garage. about ten seconds later I heard an explosion.

"Only one thing left to do"

I flicked on the radio, it hated radios but music is music. I was annoyed with the crappy music they played.

"Just go easy on the driving ok?"
Jason took his right hand off the steering wheel and gave me a thumbs up.

I turned my attention back to Sara. I noticed that the blood bag that was hooked up needed to be changed.

It was starting to get foggy.
I reached in between the front seats and grabbed the radio.

"Hey Sandson?"
"Yeah, what is it?"
"See if you can find a hotel or something... anything with a bed where we can spend the night."

Jason had the fog lights on, so following the Mustang was easy.

I saw Sandson pull the Mustang to the right, into the parking lot of a Super 8.

Once both vehicles came to a stop, Sandson and Jason got out to make sure the area was clear. I heard a few shots, then I saw the both of them coming back towards the vehicles.
Jason opened the back.

"Its all clear."
I nodded and got out, slinging my rifle over my shoulder
Carefully taking Sara into my arms and putting the IV unit over my shoulder, we entered the hotel.

There were a few zombies in the front lobby, Jason and Sandson took care of them easily.
"Head up to the third floor, it'll be easier to defend up there."
"Why not go to the roof then?"
"I agree with you on that Jason, but it looks like its going to rain."
I noticed Sandson had disapeared.
"Where did Sandson go?"
Before anyone could say anything he was back, a single card in his hand.
"The master card?"
"Yes, figured it would be easier than trying evry single one."

He opened the door to room 29 and I went straight for the bed and carfully placed Sara on it, putting the IV unit on the bedside table and hooking the blood pack on to the headboard.

"We should take turns on watch, switch every few hours. Sandson you go first."
Jason was about to say something but I didn't give him a chance.
"Jason... get some sleep, I'll do the same."

It's a good thing we had a room with two beds, Jason took the empty and fell asleep right away.
I layed down beside Sara, being carful not to move the bed too much.

Three hours later.
Jason was on guard now, I only knew because I woke up and couldn't seem to get back to sleep.

I took a chair from the table and sat beside Jason over by the door, set the chair at an angle that allowed me to keep an eye on Sara.

"I was wondering when you'd finally get in bed with her."
He laughed.
"This is different... and you know that."
"I know man calm down... just tryin to lighten the mood a little."

I heard a groan... sounded like pain, could have been a zombie but it wasn't.

"What the fuck happened?" Her voice was low... broken from lack of hydration, but it was still her.

Me and Jason looked at each other for a second, then I got up.

I walked over to her side of the bed and knelt down beside her.

"Jake?"
"Yeah?"
"What the hell happened? Where are we and why is this thing stuck in my arm?"
She glanced at her right arm... a disgusted look on her face.
"We had to make a little detour, but that isn't important right now."
She looked at me... that strange look on her face.
"You alright?"
"I think so... my head hurts a little."
"I'll see if I can find anything for it."

I placed her hand in mine.
"Don't worry... we'll get through this."

I got up and grabbed my rifle.

"You stay here and watch the room, I'll be right back."
"Your goin out there by yourself?"
"Don't worry about me, theres nothing out there... and I've got my rifle just in case."

He dropped the subject and I left the room.

The halls were empty... the only sounds coming from outside... was it getting louder?

I went down to the lobby. In the front office I found a First-Aid box.
I took it off the wall and opened it... "Finally something good for once."
I closed the box and took the whole thing with me.

The sound was getting louder... then glass shattered. I turned in time to see a giant horde of zombies pouring into the lobby.
"SON OF A BITCH!!!"

I started firing off short bursts but there was too many... this wasn't a horde... it was a god damn army.
How was there soo many of them.

I ran for the stairs... getting to the room just in time.
"OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR JASON!"
"What the hell? Who ordered room service?"
"I'M NOT JOKING JASON OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR... OR I'LL FEED YOU TO THEM MYSELF!"

The door opened and I jumped through, Jason slamming it behind me.

Sandson was awake... Sara was sitting on the edge of the bed.
"Whats going on?"
"Giant fucking horde just broke through the lobby, its a fucking army of the bastards!"

"So whats the plan?"
Sara was up... shotgun in hand... still a little dazed looking.
I could here them outside the door... clawing at it... trying to find a way in.

I scanned the room.
The window.

"The window is our only option."
Sandson pulled the curtains open.

The window faced the front, The roof over the front doors was right outside the window.

"You'll never make it out... not without them knowing."
He pointed towards the door.
"So what do we do? Let them eat us!?"

Sandson shook his head.
"No."
He looked at my bag.
"Jake... how many charges do you have left?"

I opened the bag and pulled them out.
"Three two pounders four one pounders and a half pound, why?"

"I need you guys to go... I'll provide an... explosive distraction, enough for you guys to get out of here."
I knew what he was planning to do... he was going to sacrifice himself for us.

"Theres no other way is there."
It wasn't a question, it was a statement of fact... this was the only way we were going to get out of here alive.

The door was beginning to crack... they were pounding on it now.
"No there isn't..." He wasn't afraid to do this. I could see that.

I helped Sandson prep the charges... the door wasn't going to hold much longer.

The charges were set. Sara blew out the window with a blast from her shotgun.

"We won't forget what you did for us... its been an honour serving with you Officer Sandson."
He handed me his badge... and we went out the window

The fall from the overhang at the lobby wasn't big.
Jason jumped down first, I went down after him and caught Sara when she came down.

"I'm gonna miss that guy." A tear in her eye.
"We all will."

I've been through alot... I think now would be a good time to retire.
I watched them leave... turned to face the door and hit it with a shotgun blast.
Despite the range, the door buckled and they came pouring in.
"Chew on this!"

Fade to black

We were just about to get into the Flex when the charges blew... taking out the entire third floor.
A chunk of concrete landing on the hood of the Mustang... it died with him.

No one said a thing.

I walked over to the Mustang and reached in through the now shattered driver side window and grabbed the laptop I took from the police station.

I walked back over to the others.
"Is there any charges in the back?"
Sara poked her head out the back of the Flex.
"I've got two."
"Thats more than enough."
I attached one to the front of the Mustang, the other one I simply tossed on to the drivers seat... setting the timer for 2 minutes.

"The clocks running... everybody in."
I opened the drivers door and got in, Jason shut the back and came around to get in beside me.

I flipped on the radio, it was still on 97.7.... with Fade to Black by Metallica just starting... a perfect tribute for a man who just gave his life for us.

I slowly drove out of the parking lot and stopped in the middle of the street so we could all watch the Mustang explode.

A minute later it exploded, scattering debris across the parking lot and street.

I did a quick u-turn and started driving towards Oakville.
