The sound of footsteps echoed through the bloodstained complex; a man sprinted through the corridors panting heavily. This was the worst thing to happen to him, he reflected on his poor choice of profession, but only for a moment. At the moment, he focused on how he couldn't see the hideous creature that was chasing him. He didn't get a good glimpse of it at first, at least not until it decapitated the foremen... It looked like a human torso with a tail. He'd ran after he saw that. The man heard the noises, the horrible, horrible noises it was making as it was pursuing him, but it was too dark to tell where the creature was. All he could do was run.

He couldn't really tell how long he'd been running, not at this point. He kept his focus on getting out of there. The first place he'd go to was get his wife, and his little girl. Then he'd get the hell off of this colony in any was possible.

This glimmer of hope spurned him forward... until he felt a horrendous pain in his chest. Slowly, then man looked down to see the blade tipped tail of the abomination that had been in pursuit of him. He gurgled, and briefly let out a scream...

... Which was silenced the second he felt the sharp teeth in the creature's mouth pierce his skull.

Dead Space: Revelations Empty
PostSubject: Re: Dead Space: Revelations   Dead Space: Revelations I_icon_minitimeSat May 28, 2011 4:08 pm

"Come on, so close..." a small sweat drop slowly made it's way down my cheek, my heart racing only slightly. I just needed a little more luck to snatch this from the jaws of defeat.

"Crap!"

"Let's go Tony pay up, you lost fair and square," my partner across from me, David, started putting the cards away, looks like he won another game of poker. My hands pushed away the money, my eyes not even looking at it in shame. David's smug pierced right through me, the little bastard had a gift for card-games he did.

The medical transport we were on started to shake from the turbulence, as we moved around Artemis IV. Just a few hours ago there was an abnormally high traffic of medical and passenger transports roaming around. Come this time there was almost nothing in the sky, save a few stray ones moving off course.

"Looks like we're getting another call, another crazy fuck trying causing harm and then to himself. We're heading to...District 3 Zone E4," our pilot, Gorden, set his destination.

"You mean the Recreational Area?"

"Yup, thats the one."

After only a few minutes, we arrived at the spot, landing inside a large court. The place seemed almost deserted, but there seemed to be just under a dozen people; including the wounded.

Dead Space: Revelations Empty
PostSubject: Re: Dead Space: Revelations   Dead Space: Revelations I_icon_minitimeSat May 28, 2011 8:28 pm

"What do you people want!? Get away from me!" My heavy boots stomped on the ground as I ran, not daring to look back. I heard their voices, their hideous demonic voices as they chased me.

How had things gone so wrong? I began to think back to a few hours back as I sprinted, so terrified out of my wits that it felt like I could run forever if I had to. Those damn EarthGov bastards! This was their fault! I kept thinking as I remembered the orders we had received. We just had to secure that damn Marker that they found in the mines, but...

We never got that far.

As I ran I could see the elevator up ahead, glowing like it was my path path to salvation. The bone-chilling roars behind me were getting louder and louder, and I could hear the stomach-upsetting sounds of flesh tearing as it it ran on the rocks behind me. In an instant I turned around, whipping out my Patrol Seeker Rifle and firing without so much as looking through the scope at the creature that pounced at me.
The single bullet tore in the humanoid creature's head, blowing it clean off. It fell to the ground, but began writhing around and attempting to stand just as quick as it had fallen. I didn't stick around to put another round in it, I could already hear the others catching up fast.

I was almost gasping for air inside my helm, my legs feeling like they would fall off at any moment. More were behind me, I could hear them all sprinting amongst the rocks. I almost slammed right into the elevator, I had been running so fast. I punched the button, waiting for the doors to open. The sound of screeching metal could be heard as the doors slowly opened, not fast enough as I took out my Seeker Rifle and aimed down the scope.
It was hard to see far in the darkness, but I could make the disfigured shapes moving quickly towards me. Finally hearing the doors open I backed inside before slamming the button again, watching the doors slowly close. The monsters were getting closer, I could see their shapes through my scope as the doors began to close more...and more...and more...but one was bursting ahead of the group. I fired another round, hoping to slow it down but it only phased the tall creature for a moment before it charged again. At the last minute the doors closed right in the monster's face, and I heard the creature crash into the door.

My heart was racing, almost feeling like it was going to burst out of my chest as I struggled to control my breathing. A few seconds passed, and I lowered my rifle just as two long blades pierced through the center where the two doors met, prying it open as I shined my rifle's light in it's face.

My jaw dropped at the sight of it's grotesque face. I could see the human features, and the mining clothing that it wore. I didn't take the time to think about what it meant, I merely raised my rifle again and fired two rounds as the monster held the door open, one in the chest and another in the arm. I watched the limb detach from the body and the door slammed shut on the creature's neck.
I watched the now lifeless head fall to the floor, sliding down the wall until I was sitting down. The elevator began to move, and I stared in silence as blood dripped form my Patrol Suit.

My mind was completely numb with terror.

Dead Space: Revelations Empty

The moment we landed, the few people that were there flooded us, begging for us to take them. We had to push them off, we only tended to the wounded, that was our only objective right now.

"Everyone needs to move, this is a licensed medical vehicle, not a transport, any interference with work is a will have dire consequences!" we made our way through the light crowd, picking up the two wounded .

"Can someone tell us what happened here? It'll be easier to treat," my voice was stern, it had to break through the begging crowd. All I got in response was just more pleas for help. As we started to pull the wounded up, something unexpected happen. The people on the stretchers got up, in a crazed fashion attacking David with a scalpel they picked up.

"Oh shit! What the hell, FUCK!" He pushed one, which was a crazed woman, away to through the ground. The other I peeled off of him, punching him away from us.

"Let's sedate them, it'll be a hell of a lot easier," I took out the injections, before David started backing away pulling me into the ship.

"No way man, look, their going bat shit crazy!" He pointed at the crowd, the two people started mutilating the others, as the seemingly calm ones retaliated in the same blood-lusted fashion.

We all ran inside as Gorden lifted the ship off; the noise of people smashing into the door getting louder, their growls and yells menacing even for normal people.

Dead Space: Revelations Empty
PostSubject: Re: Dead Space: Revelations   Dead Space: Revelations I_icon_minitimeSun May 29, 2011 11:57 am

"Hey, Alfred!"

There was no response.

"Alfred, buddy, are you in there?"

Still no response. I took a deep breath before approaching Alfred's door. He was my friend from work, a fellow engineer. He hadn't showed up today, and when I heard about all the shit that was happening over in residential, I headed over to get him out of there.

I triggered the door's automatic opening sequence. It wasn't locked. I'd come straight from lunch. Hell, we'd been told to just get out of their, there were riots coming are way too. I hadn't even taken off my RIG. Call me paranoid, but I felt a bit safer in it. I didn't even notice that I stil had my plasma cutter on me, I'd been in such a hurry that I didn't really care to put it away and no one cared to stop me. I had the helmet retracted, though.

The door slid open in front of me, and I peered in. All the lights were off, that was kinda weird. Was he even here?

"Hey, Alfred! The riots are coming right this way, I came by to warn you!" I yelled into the darkness. Still not response. I got ready to leave, he definitely wasn't there...

And then...

Something slammed into me like a lead weight. I fell backwards, to the ground, hard. I looked up an my assailant, who sat on top of my raising a knife above his head.

"Alfred?!"

My friend snarled like some kind of wild animal, his eyes wide. I barely had a chance to trigger my helmet before the knife came down. It was by pure luck that my helmet fully formed and the knife clinked harmlessly off the metal plating. Operating on survival instinct, I shoved him off of me and to the side, struggling to get up before he could retaliate.

"Alfred, what the fuck are you doing?!" I yelled, taking a step back. I realized I still had my plasma cutter on my, and drew it defensively. Alfred started to approach, babbling madly under his breath with the knife raised.

"Don't make me shoot you, I'm your friend," I warned. My aim was slightly shaky. Why the hell was he doing this? The three targetting line were aimed at Alfred's throat.

He didn't stop coming. He raised the knife again to attack, and I pulled the trigger. There was the familiar crack of the plasma cutter firing, and Alfred's head was severed from his neck in a spray of blood. It went spinning through the air and landed with a wet thud, as his body collapsed.

I lowered the plasma cutter, staring in shock at what I'd just done.

"Jesus... Jesus Christ...." I said, still unmoving.

Dead Space: Revelations Empty
PostSubject: Re: Dead Space: Revelations   Dead Space: Revelations I_icon_minitimeMon Jul 04, 2011 11:50 am

"What. The. Fuck"

I clutched my rifle tightly as the elevator continued to carry me up the shaft, farther and farther form that terrible place. I could still hear the grotesque sounds those things made, making my blood run cold. Even though the elevator was getting me farther away I still flinched madly at every creak the joints inside made from the very strain of having any excess weight on them. The engineers said it wasn't anything to be concerned about, and I was too scared to even muster the thought to how I'd tell them to go fuck themselves.

I stared forward with my helmet contracted, mostly because I was sure my heavy breathing was using up my suit's oxygen supply. My heart refused to slow down, and I closed my eyes and began counting numbers in my head in an attempt to calm myself:

1.....2.....3.....

"Nate..."

I paused and looked up suddenly, almost swearing I heard a whisper. I glanced around, seeing nothing but the rocks moving past as the elevator continued on its way. I sighed, going back to my counting:

4......5......6......7-

"Nate."

I heard the voice again, this time more clear. I scanned around the elevator, feeling my heart beginning to beat faster as searched frantically for the voice. "Hello? Who's there!?"

Silence.

I groaned, wondering if I was so scared out of my wits I was actually hearing things that weren't there. I couldn't get the feeling I got from the voice out of my head, though, and it seemed so soothing and familiar. I shook my head. There was no time to let this kind of insanity take me. Slowly standing up, I kept my seeker rifle held tightly against me as I watched the screen on the elevator console track my progress. I was nearly at the top, and I could hear myself praying to God that there wasn't a trace of those things on the surface. I didn't know what I was going to do next, other than get the Hell out of this cursed place. The console blinked a bright blue, a small chime following to signal that I had reached the ground level of the mining facility. I triggered my helmet, feeling it fully form as I triggered the door's automatic opening sequence.

The elevator door opened, and the first object to pop out was the barrel of my rifle. The bright blue laser pointer produced a small dot on the surface of another console at the other side of the room. I slowly stepped out, taking steady breaths as I slowly scanned the immediate area. Detecting no movement or life forms in the area, I felt myself relax only slightly for my breathing to calm down.

"Nathan."

I whipped around to my right, facing the source of the voice. My eyes widened at sight, in both surprise and shock. In front of me stood the last person I thought I'd ever see here.

"...J-Jaz?"
