Corruption: The Valzaren Wars Empty
PostSubject: Corruption: The Valzaren Wars   Corruption: The Valzaren Wars I_icon_minitimeSun May 02, 2010 10:38 pm

Twenty years before the Doorway Darkly event, it was the height of the Valzaren Wars. The War had persisted for twelve years. Twelve long, dangerous years. The primary enemy, the Valzaren Empire, was led by the deeply psychotic Emperor Sythylyss Rythulys III. His influence and followers twisted the empire into a war machine, bent on conquerering all of the known galaxy. The alliance against the Valzaren empire spanned thousands of races and trillions of individuals, but the Valzarens had just as many alliances. The war claims billions of lives.

In a year's time, the war will be over, and Empire defeated, in exchange for a far more insidous enemy. But for now, the brave soldiers of the allied forces battle the pawns of the Valzaren Emperor, as he leads the galaxy down the path to corruption.

---
IC/Kip Kal'Thorem:

"Engage."

A lone flagship broke Hyperspace. It took point beyond all the smaller warships, troop transports and supply craft that were arriving. On the side of the flagship it read, "FSAA Proudland" emblazoned in gold lettering across the hull. It had a fearsome stance, and in the glow of the moon not far from their immediate postion, the Proudland looked intimidating. It has well armed, well armored, and heavily shielded. The crew inside scrambled to their battlestations. It seemed like everyone was holding their breath.

"Skipper, focus the shield generators to the front. I want my ship ready in twenty minutes." A voice rang out, breaking the silence.
It came from behind the teeth of Grand Admiral Kip Kal'Thorem. Kal'Thorem was a hero to his people; he had served his Alliance well in his youth. He paced impatiently, wondering when the Valzarens would detect their presence.

Two battlefreighters, the FSAA-BF Freesword and the FSAA-BF Newsword, floated on either side of the Proudland. Several carriers, the FSAA-C Hope, the FSAA-C Freeshield, and the FSAA-C Newshield followed. They released over twenty squadrons of SFHK Grunts. The smaller Lifeboat-class carriers, the FSAA-C Freestar, the FSAA-C Freesun, and the FSAA-C Freecomet started to pour SFHK Grunts and SFD Stalkers from their hangar bays. The Grunts and the Stalkers were a huge asset to the Arcitian offensive that was about to occur.

Just then, the artillery ships broke Hyperspace and collected themselves promptly. The FSAA-A Vulture Slayer, the FSAA-A Turnbull, and the FSAA-A Broken Trust all aligned themselves for the imminent strike on the Valzaren outposts below. They were accompanied by fighter escorts, all of which were Stalkers.

A number of battleships also arrived. Their crews and boarding parties braced themselves for battle. The FSAA-BS Destroyer, the FSAA-BS Avenger, the FSAA-BS Integra, and the FSAA-BS Gleaner all spread out and took the right flank. They would be the guardians of all other warships in range.

The FSAA-CDP Vengeful Spirit, a deep space cruiser, followed the fleet from a distance, prepping a Skullbasher for launch if need be; a Skullbasher is long range nuclear missile which carries two warheads. The warheads are plutonium based atom bombs enriched with uranium and liquid napalm, capable of insurmountable devastation.

"Skipper, contact Captain Bem'Ris. Tell him he may instruct his artillery regiment to fire when ready at 'Vector Seven Niner Seven Zero'. Bombard this region until all ground forces are suppressed. Then we may begin a landing." Admiral Kal'Thorem instructed.

Vector 7970 was the main military installation, space port, and repair station for the Valzarens in this wretched system. It was stop on the way to planets belonging to the Allied Forces. This hub was to be crushed to help stop the advancing forces of the evil Empire Alliance.

IC/Fen Vi'Tak:

Fen strapped into his SFD Stalker and turned on all the weapons and flight systems. His gunner, Dakk, looked up at him with hopeful eyes.

"How ya feelin' Dakk?" Fen asked.
"I feel like I could take on the whole Empire Alliance myself!" He replied with much intensity.
"I know how you feel. Let's go fuck'em up!"

His flight group, Daft Squadron, flew in a Echleon formation. They began scouting the immediate perimeter. Fen reached for his radio transmitter and brought it to his scaly maw, "This is Daft Zero, all wings report in."

All wings responded.
"Daft Two, reporting."
"Daft Three, reporting."
"Daft Four, reporting."

"Daft Squadron, scour immediate airspace for any pockets of resistance. We are taking point in this portion of the invasion." Fen explained.

After twenty minutes of searching, Fen reported in to his commanding officer, Captain Karcus Amadieus. Amadieus was aboard the Freeshield and cleared them for a reinsertion after their scouting mission was complete. Daft Squadron began escorting the battleship Avenger.

The other Allied Forces were on their way, but when they would arrive, no one knew. A fullscale planetside offensive was being planned. A space battle was expected. The Valzaren outpost of Kuati was the first step in thwarting the enemy expansion.

IC Kallis Jhur'on:

The Arctians were knocking of the Valzaren's door. Time for the Tellorians to knock too. I made my way to the HADS, amongst the rest of my squad. The HADS was prepped and ready, all it needed was all soldiers on board. I stepped on with the rest of my squad and loaded my SA-4. Sergeant Dy'tor looked as over as we strapped in.

"Ready to fuck 'em up, soldiers?" He asked.

"Yes sir!" We replied in unison.

"That's what I like to hear!" He called as he strapped in.

The back of the HADS closed, as a voice on the com spoke up.

"HADS Delta One through ten, prepare for a hard drop." Said the voice.

This was gonna be a doozy.

"Three."

I tighted my grip on my SA-4.

"Two."

I took a deep breath.

"One."

The floor opened up beneath us, and we dropped. Almost immediatly, the pilot took over, the HADS' thruster activating to ferry us down planetside.

We were dropping in several clicks down from the area the Arctians were bombarding. We'd set up camp, wait for the bombardment to finish, then take our vehicles and roll on in to the Arctian LZ to assist them. They'd been informed of our plan, so they knew where to hit, we knew where to land. The planet was going to be a velchole in a matter a minutes. We broke into the atmosphere with a jolt, and I prepared for a fight.

Corruption: The Valzaren Wars Empty
PostSubject: Re: Corruption: The Valzaren Wars   Corruption: The Valzaren Wars I_icon_minitimeTue May 04, 2010 8:12 pm

IC/Kip Kal'Thorem:

Grand Admiral Kal'Thorem watched the Tellorian forces arrive in force. A toothy grin stretched across his dark, blue face.

"And so it begins..." He murmured. "SKIPPER! Prepare the fleet for a planetside landing. Stop the artillery bombardment. All units must land abroad. Every Arcitian will see some action on this glorious day."

Valzaren bombers whizzed past the bridge of the Proudland. Explosions followed, and a squadron of Grunts flew in their wake. The Grunts were being lead by grey Stalker that had two crimson stripes painted over the right wing.

A small Valzaren frigate with a trail of about forty escorts followed. The frigate was shelled incessantly by the Freeshield, the largest battlefreighter in the fleet. The Valzaren frigate was destroyed, and only after a large blue-green explosion did its debris drift outward.

The Arcitian fleet started it's descent into the atmosphere of Kuati while fighter squadrons on both sides raged in the cold, airless space.

---

IC/Fen Vi'Tak:

"Alright Daft Squadron, stay frosty and keep a tight formation. It looks like they only got a few ships off the ground before we shelled their asses."

Daft Squadron chased down a small squadron of Valzaren bombers. There were four of them moving towards the bridge of the Proudland.

I fired at the leader, and aimed for the cockpit. The pilot exploded into a bright bloody mess on the interior of the bomber, and the craft began to barrel-roll into the nothingness. It exploded shortly thereafter.

Still, the bomber squadron held formation. My squadron picked them off, one by one. We then headed back to our hanger, and geared up for a land invasion.

---

IC: Kal'Thorem/Vi'Tak:

"Grand Admiral," a Navigator dejected, "All of our ships have made into the atmosphere. All anti-aircraft positions have been eliminated. What should we do?"

Kal'Thorem pointed to the planet.

"Prepare to land. We'll set up a base camp and regroup with our Tellorian friends for a large assault on Vector 7970. The Valzarens will be crushed. May the Answer be with us."

IC Kirale:

The atmospheres clouds split apart, as our frigate swooped in like a bird of prey. The transport ship I was on, which was latched on to the belly of the frigate, shook against the fierce winds.

"Approaching Vector 7970, prepare for release and grouping."

I acknowledged the message in my HUD, as did the rest of my squad.

"The Arcitians and Tellorians will be awaiting for formation, we'll meet 'em there. Everyone have their weapons loaded?"

"Yes sir!"

Good, it was going to be hell very soon.

"Dropping transport now." the pilot echoed through our comm systems. There was a jolt and we fell dropping quickly into the lower atmosphere. The pilot took control, smoothly riding the bird towards the encampment not to far away.

The dust separated with the wind as our transport descended towards the ground.

"We're set, all Allied Forces seem to be here. Send in the reinforcements."

The HADS hovered above a grassland, causing the grasses to whip around violently from the force of the thrusters. The dropship lowered towards the groud, and we unclipped our belts. The back hatch swung open.

"Everybody out, go go go!" Shouted our Sergeant. He lept out. We followed.

I looked around. I could see, not too far off, where the Arctians had bombarded. There was smoke trailing high into the sky. There was no movement on the motion tracker, but I knew better then to get too comfortable.

Sergeant Dy'tor said "Keep vigilant and keep an eye on your motion trackers."

The tension was a little high, even though we hadn't seen anything yet. This was an Imperial planet held by the Valzarens. There'd be resistance, it was just a matter of waiting for the dam to burst.

Corruption: The Valzaren Wars Empty
PostSubject: Re: Corruption: The Valzaren Wars   Corruption: The Valzaren Wars I_icon_minitimeWed May 19, 2010 8:50 pm

IC/Fen:

The Arcitians rendevoused with the Tellorians at their initial drop zone, and their newest allies, the Rankores, had also arrived. The entire Arcitian fleet lay just six klicks of their immediate position. The Allied Forces conviened, and Admiral Kal'Thorem plotted his next move. Tellorian vehicles of all kinds were on the ground, ready to mobilize.

Meanwhile, I weighted my sniper rifle and watched my team lock and load. We began walking towards a small hill where would be able to see enemy positions or advancing troops. Too late for that.

"INCOMING!" A voice rang out. An explosion followed, taking out an Arcitian gunship that was waiting for take-off and futher instruction, and everyone started scrambling. Valzaren mortar teams were shelling the Allied Forces' initial LZ. I jumped to the floor, and used the scope on my rifle to scout out the area. Valzaren tanks and walkers were closing in from the north, and numerous Valzaren infantry platoons were rushing the Allies' position from several klicks to the south.

Our CO shouted from afar. "SHIT! SHIT! Load up! You are cleared engage all targets! Open fi-"
He was shot in the throat, and he didn't survive. I took cover behind the hill we had marched towards. A Valzaren warrior crested the hill, and I shot him point blank. He shrieked, stumbled, and then started for me.

"Oh, FUCK!" I jumped up and rolled him over my shoulder as he leaped. I stabbed him in the eye with one of my claws, and pushed him to the ground. Another explosion. I reached for my knife, and I unsheathed it. I looked at the Valzaren on the ground, and I could see the fear in his eyes. I spat on him, and waited for him to do something, holding my knife out. The Valzaren got to his feet, and fled. Another mortar explosion went off, and it ended his life as he ran away. He had dropped his weapon, and naturally, I picked it up. I swung my sniper rifle over my back, and held the Valzaren assault rifle to my chest.

Two Arcitian tankbusters, specifically known as MSRF Airstrikes, flew low and slow above me. Their ion thrusters roared, and while the battle that was brewing, both pilots managed to take out several Valzaren tanks. They lightened the load, but still, the burden was ours to bear. They came around for a second strafe, and a Valzaren walker barraged one of them with a couple of heat seekers. A few bullets whizzed past me, and I prepared for another charge. Only one Airstrike was in the sky now, and I hoped that we'd gain air superiority soon. My men stood fast behind me, and fired at any open targets. Hell was unleashed.

I sprayed a couple of Valzarens that rushed us. Two of them lived, and kept coming. They shot at us.

"Hold this ground, men! FOR THE GLORY OF THE ANSWER!" I cried, still shooting. I clipped a Valzaren's face, and he fell before me. Another explosion.

Several APCs rolled past us, all Explorer class. Arcitian gunners fired from the Explorers, and laid covering fire for us.

"ADVANCE! GO! GO! GO!" A couple of us said. We moved up swiftly. Our boys were stepping up our game. ATT Backstabbers approached us from the north, coming from one of the larger carriers. The tank team began to fire off numerous shells, but still the Valzarens came.

PostSubject: Re: Corruption: The Valzaren Wars   Corruption: The Valzaren Wars I_icon_minitimeFri May 21, 2010 8:22 am

We got word that the Arctians had already engaged. We didn't really need the com notice, though. We could here it. We were en route there. That meant it was only a matter of time. In fact...

Sergeant Dy'tor raised his rifle in supscion. There was a grove of trees directly infront of us.

"Up ahead. Two, maybe three." He whispered. "Jhur'on, you and Sy'tra move up."

I moved quickly, but as queitly as I could, crouching as I moved. Sy'tra was right behind me. We moved through the trees, the silence only broken by the distant battle. I finally saw the Valzaren soldiers. Two of them were slowly moving towards us.

On of them noticed us. So I didn't waste any time.

I aimed my SA-4 and fired, the brillantly red lasers ripping a path through the air towards their target. They struck him in the chest, boiling through his armor and burning large holes through his chest. He fell. Sy'tra did so to the othe Valzaren.

I signaled the squad to move up. We'd be getting a vehicle drop soon.
