General information: This rp takes place in the region of Danku. Here it is the goal of the player to either collect 8 badges from the various gyms across the region to compete in the Grand Tournament hosted at the end. There are 16 gyms total, so you have a lot to choose from. Gym leaders will be controlled by a mod (A person who controls the outcome of the battle, which will probably be me for the most part), who will have their own rules on how the battle commences. The trainer also has the goal of catching and training the best Pokemon they can find. Many smaller tournaments will occur as the rp goes on, each giving away extra cash and prizes.

Modding: Most of you know what the term “modding” is, but for those who don’t or want to know how modding in this rp will work, this is it. With this, rather then posting significant things that happen to you (wild encounters, outcome of battles, important events, ect.) it’s up to another person (modder) to decide. This really adds to the experience and feels more “natural” because you’re not certain yourself the real outcome. I will be modding for the most part, but I would require second who can either pick up my slack, take a turn, or mod me when I need it.

Pokemon: Although I know there is no need for an explanation for these little critters, I feel I should go over things that will be important to know about them in terms of rping.

Experience Points: Exp is key to levelling up your Pokemon, so that it may get stronger, learn new moves, and even evolve. Obtaining Exp is simple, you have your Pokemon battle another. How much Exp they get is determined by the level of the enemy Pokemon. Level of Pokemon = Number of Exp.

Level Up: Your Pokemon’s level determines how strong it is. By levelling up your Pokemon gets better stats, moves, and the possibility to evolve. You level up by gaining experience. How much experience to level up you may ask? Simple, you must build up exp, and when the number of exp your Pokemon has is equal to or more then it’s level, it can level up and the extra exp is then added for it’s next level up.

Learning moves: Moves are the multiple attacks or buffs your Pokemon can learn. By levelling up, you unlock more moves for your Pokemon to learn. In this rp, you are allowed to know 6 at a time. To see which moves your Pokemon learn at which levels, please refer to Bulbapedia.

Getting started: There are several items and Pokemon you can start with at the beginning of your journey. The first thing you must do is visit Prof. Maple in his lab, and from yhere your journey into the world will begin. After visiting Prof. Maple’s lab, you will receive your starter Pokemon, 5 pokeballs, and a Pokegear. A Pokegear is basically a pokedex, watch, and gps all rolled into one. The Pokemon you are aloud to choose from will be listed as followed:

Player vs. Player: When there comes a confrontation between you and another rper, and a battle commences, the experience will prove to be a little different then a modded wild encounter. The outcome of the battle will be decided on your creativity as a writer on bringing about the more devastating moves. For example: Simply stating you hit the enemy with Water gun will not be as effective as explaining how your Water Gun had effectively blasted the foe into the wall, making it crack slightly. Keep in mind though, this does not mean you can god mod and make your attacks far more powerful then they really are. Also unlike wild encounters, both players get experience whether they win or loose.

Description: A small town located near a large, mystical lake.
Important Features: Amethyst Town is home to Professor Maple's lab. This is usually a stopping and starting point for all trainers who wish to enter Danku's Grand Tournament, as they get their pokemon trainer ID cards and their first starter pokemon.
